FY 2017-18

The Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) held a training workshop on “Micro-plan and Annual Implementation Planning” on December 18, 2018, at SEFTI in Dimapur. The event featured discussions on district forest management, technical sessions on micro-planning, annual implementation, and accounting procedures, with inputs from top forest officials and expert resource persons. FY 2018-19

The NFMP Project Management Unit organized a two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on microplan preparation on March 5-6, 2019, at the PCCF & HOFF in Kohima. The event, attended by DMU, Assistant DMU, and FMU heads, featured technical sessions on village mapping, questionnaire construction for PRA exercises, and other microplanning techniques. Key presentations were delivered by expert resource persons including Shri. Pinaki Ranjan Dey, while senior officials inaugurated, introduced, and concluded the workshop. Read more…

FY 2019-20

Between November 2019 and January 2020, NFMP organized a series of capacity-building events. Orientations were held for newly recruited support staff from the Southern and Northern Territorial Circles. In December 2019, an interactive workshop focused on process documentation, MIS development, and standardizing procedures for DMUs and FMUs, followed by another interactive session in January 2020 on JFMC, nursery registers, and shifting cultivation. FY 2020-21

Between April and December 2021, NFMP held various trainings—from online socio-economic survey sessions and plantation demonstrations to MIS, field orientation on IGA, and nursery workshops—for DMU/FMU staff, JFMC members, and other stakeholders. Read more…
